Drug bust snags one in Menlo Park

An 18-month investigation led to one arrest in Menlo Park, the seizure of 23 pounds of methamphetamine, 9 kilograms of cocaine and more than $500,000, according the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The investigation focused on a South Bay drug trafficking cell connected to an organization with ties to Mexico. The DEA searched six residences, including one in the 600 block of Hamilton Avenue in Menlo Park. Five people were arrested, including Maria Reyna, 38, of Menlo Park. Agents are still looking for six people in connection to the drug ring, including Antonio Contreras Abarca, 42, of Menlo Park.
