Border Patrol arrests 3 with criminal histories over weekend

TUCSON, AZ - Three undocumented immigrants with criminal histories were arrested in separate incidents over the Labor Day weekend by Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents.

According to a news release, Willcox Station agents first apprehended a man from Oaxaca, Mexico near Elfrida on Thursday. A fingerprint check revealed that the man had been incarcerated for 24 months for assault with a deadly weapon in Florida in 1992. He had been deported in 1994.

Thursday night, Casa Grande Station agents arrested a suspect from Honduras who had previously been detained in Fairfax, Virginia in 2008 and charged with Murder 1st Degree. He was convicted of homicide and deported in 2010.

A man from Michoacán, Mexico was arrested by Naco Station agents on Saturday and records indicated the suspect had a prior conviction in California for sex with a minor. He had received a conviction and sentence to serve 180 days in jail and 36 months of probation. Records also revealed he also has an outstanding warrant for the same charges from Visalia, California.
