    Border Patrol arrests convicted sex offender trying to enter U.S. Illegally

    A convicted sex offender was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol on Tuesday when tying to enter the United States illegally.

    Arturo Alvarez-Sanchez, 24, was caught about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near the Ysleta Port of Entry along with a 16-year-old man.

    An investigation revealed Alvarez has a prior conviction for criminal sexual contact of a minor, Border Patrol officials said.

    The Border Patrol said Alvarez was processed for prosecution and removal. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. The 16-year-old man was deported to Mexico.

    He'll probably be slapped on the wrist with a short jail sentence - time waived, and apologized to profusely that he could not fulfill his American dream of debasement!
