    The Cost of educating

Somewhere on this site I saw something about that Supreme Court decision. Don't know if it is fact.

Does the decision mention some type of recourse if the cost of educating illegal aliens kids becomes a BURDEN to taxpayers?
The article I remember said there was.

The law needs to read "If you are not a citizen of the USA your children may attend our schools but the foreign national parents must pay for their education".

Educating IA's is an unreasonal burden for taxpayers.

Unless pregnant illegal aliens are identified and deported and/or anchor baby citizenship is stopped, the tremendous burden of caring for illegal aliens' children will continue to bankrupt the states.

I agree with you. I think the most important thing would be to re-define the birthright citizenship act. This would also cut down on a lot of welfare programs, as it is usually the legal US citizen children of IA's who are eligible for welfare.

When Plyler vs Doe was ruled on in 1982, resulting in the mandate to educate children of illegal aliens, I wonder if this somehow compelled the expansion of the "ethnic studies" curriculum. Some experts believe that ethnic studies promote resentment of traditional values of American culture (Wikipedia), and resentment against certain ethnic groups. Some ethnic studies programs even promote the idea of overthrowing the US Government.

The 1982 Supreme Court decision resulted in an ernormous burden on American taxpayers, and expanded a program of resentment by ethnic-studies students against these same American taxpayers. How can this be the right decision?

Let me hazard a guess here. The number of IA children in the USA in 1982 was probably minuscule.

Another related cost is the school food program. Many receive free breakfast and lunch--well, free to them if not to us. On average I would guess that it's about $5 per day per student times say 5 million (randomly chosen number)--that's $25million federal dollars a day or $750 million a month using rough numbers. Over a 10 month school year we're talking billions...
