Mexico Returns 49 Cubans to Island

WESLACO - The plight of Cuban nationals who attempted to emigrate to the U.S. unsuccessfully were sent back to their country.

Mexico’s Immigration Institute said 49 Cubans were returned to Cuba Monday morning.

Officials said the group was among the first ones that recently arrived to Mexico. They had requested a 20-day visa that would allow them to transit the country.

Cubans bound for the U.S. were dealt with a blow when the Obama administration ended the “wet-foot, dry-foot policy” in its finals days. The policy allowed Cubans to enter the U.S. legally based on their nationality.

After the policy ended, Cubans stayed stuck in Mexico.
Mexico said they decided to send the group of Cubans in accordance with their laws.

Does the Mexican immigration laws include provisions to help foreign migrants violate the laws of there supposedly very important trade partner & friend, Unites States by issuing 20 day transit permits?

Oh, horrors, do you mean Mexico enforces it's immigration laws?

Yet, it is someone so very cruel for us to do the same?

We need to stop them at the border and let Mexico fill up with these people - then return all 30 million of their own.

Now that would be justice.
