Observation platforms would be the most cost effective thing and could be done immediately. Or something like "eye in the sky" military surveillance technology. The main thing is to be able to detect movement in the known corridors. They know the major routes---since people rely upon the established transportation routes in Mexico to get here. A combination of domestic and a little international intelligence gathering would intercept 90 percent of the human traffic. In fact, the feds wouldn't even have to announce that they were doing that.

All these ideas are great! I love the look of the first one. Now that's my pretty wall I want. Lovely.

In the wide open desert they can blast DEEP crevices and then build the Wall on top of the mountain.

Yep, the first wall would certainly get my vote!

The 1st Wall looks like 3 sections with a fence and walkways. They can scale up to each section...no good.

I'm not seeing it. Maybe my 58 year old eyes are failing me.

Are those actually fences are just designer slab portions? If it is fencing, what would be the purpose?

There is equipment that differentiates between animal or human too. There really has been very little effort in the past years to do proper sophisticated surveillance. They do have it & could actually do it right now. In this day and age of high tech - really, they can't effectively watch that border with agents at checkpoints to apprehend? Not buying that. gw & obama would not have been able to fill our country with mega millions of mexicans and central americans with a real system.
