On Friday’s edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Brandon Darby, managing director of Breitbart Texas, talked with Chad Hasty about the latest going on in the state of Texas.
So far, Breitbart Texas has been well received in the state of Texas, although Darby pointed out that he has caught some flack for going after some Texas Republicans as well. He explained that the goal of Breitbart Texas was to bring to light to any “left of center” activity in Texas, and that there are a lot of politicians and candidates in Texas that are left of center despite having an “R” next to their name.
Darby also stated that people need to stop being so complacent in Texas and start taking a closer look at the news makers, warning that if Texas does turn blue, there will not be another Republican in the White House again.
One of the major issues that is often ignored by the mainstream media is the struggles of the border patrol. Darby explained that the US-Mexico border patrol volunteer to work in an extremely dangerous and often times isolated area where they are unable to contact others. And to make matters worse, many of the higher-ups in their parent organization, are usually politically opposed to the border patrol.
“You have men and women who serve…and risk their lives in the U.S. Border Patrol. They are out there, usually alone, there are areas in each sector of the US-Mexico border, including each sector of the Texas-Mexico border, where they cannot even radio for backup. The people who are the politically-appointed leadership of their parent organization CBP, Customs and Border Protection, often times are very politically motivated against the border patrol. And so, you have the border patrol under constant attack.”
