Brooks introduces immigration legislation
The News Courier Wed Jul 27, 2011
Congressman Mo Brooks introduced new legislation Wednesday that removes federal barriers to states who undertake their own legal measures to control illegal immigration, according to a press release.
Brooks said the Jobs for Americans Act of 2011 helps states like Alabama, Georgia, and Arizona which are addressing immigration issues because the federal government has failed to do so. He said the act ensures that the federal government will appreciate, not punish, states that do the hard work of enforcing our laws.

Help for states on the fence?
Maybe just the introduction of this bill will help some of the states who are on the fence about introducing legislation of their own get off the fence and follow AZ and AL examples. We need about 45 more states to follow suit.
