AUSTIN -- A coalition of Texas employers said today they want Congress to act quickly on legislation that will secure the southern border and ensure access to the workforce Mexico provides.
The Texas Association of Business announced the formation of a new coalition designed to press Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Texas Employers for Immigration Reform's prime concern is finding workers for jobs they expect to create during the next decade.
The coalition is comprised of trade associations and business owners.
“Each year, thousands of jobs in Texas are created that require few skills or are very labor intensive,” association President Bill Hammond said. “Across our borders, there is a workforce clamoring to take these positions, but some up in Washington want them shut out.”Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
