U.S. Border Patrol agents said they confiscated a cache of cocaine hidden inside a car that carried a street value of more that $1 million.

The discovery came Tuesday at 11 a.m. when a blue sedan, driven by a 25-year-old American female, approached the first inspection point at the Highway 86 checkpoint near Westmoreland.

A canine team alerted agents to something suspicious, prompting a second inspection.

Agents used a Large Scale Imaging System, which revealed something hidden inside the vehicle, according to the Border Patrol.

Agents discovered several hidden packages of cocaine located in a non-factory compartment.

The driver, vehicle and drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
