Pat Robertson - Republican presidential endorsements

I don't know how a Christian leader could endorce someone that doesn't abide by the laws, specifically "thou shall not commit adultery".

In a surprising development, televangelist Pat Robertson on Wednesday endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for the Republican presidential nomination.

"It is my pleasure to announce my support for America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani, a proven leader who is not afraid of what lies ahead and who will cast a hopeful vision for all Americans," Robertson, who ran for president in 1988, said at a Washington news conference.

The Robertson endorsement could help Giuliani, who favors abortion and gay rights, to persuade other social conservatives to overlook their differences with him on those issues.

Two other evangelical leaders -- James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, and Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council -- have said they would support a third-party candidate if Giuliani wins the nomination.

In another development on Wednesday, Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, who dropped out of the Republican presidential race last month, threw his support to Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Brownback called McCain "the best pro-life candidate to beat Hillary Clinton" at a news conference in Dubuque, Iowa.

Although McCain has a fairly consistent conservative voting record on social issues, he clashed in 2000 with Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, labeling them "agents of intolerance."

Asked about Robertson's endorsement of Giuliani, McCain said, "Every once in awhile, I'm left speechless. This is one of those times."

Makes one truly wonder, doesn't it?

The Elite sure do want Ghouliani to win, don't they?

Don't pay to much attention to the polls that are conducted. These polls are based on those 6% that came out and voted in the primaries in 2004 - who were zealot like supporters of Bush. Thus the "polls" are NOT legitimate on who is really popular.

Is Pat Roberson part of the CFR? I don't know. Curious if he is..

Now that THAT announcement has been made, I can rest easy knowing where to cast my vote. Desperation for power muddles judgement. I used to like Pat Robertson.
We are NOT a nation of immigrants!
