CA - Border Patrol rescues illegal immigrant from drowning in canal

CALEXICO, Calif. (KSWT News 13) – Border Patrol agents rescued a man who was illegally in the United States from drowning in the currents of a canal.
It happened this morning, at about 5 a.m.
While watching from a surveillance camera, an agent saw two men swimming across the All-American Canal.
One of the men was struggling to stay above water.
Agents used throwbags to pull him out of the current.
After getting the two men to safety, agents realized they were Mexican citizens in the United States illegally.
Both of the men were taken to the El Centro Border Patrol station for processing.
