Immigration Reform Advocates Want Obama's Attention


SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) -- Advocates for immigration reform announced Wednesday they're planning a big march and rally in San Jose for the day after Inauguration Day.

Organizers planning the march said they want the new president to hear the voice of the people for fair and humane immigration laws.

"The purpose of the march is first to remind President Obama that one key reason he got elected was because of the Latino immigrant vote," said Cesar Juarez, a march organizer.

Demonstrators will be demanding a moratorium on raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and other changes.

The march is scheduled to start in East San Jose and end at City Hall.

They overestimate their numbers. Latinos are not a high enough percentage of the population in this country to actually elect a president. I am sure that Obama got some latino votes....but latinos were not "key" in the reason he got elected.

OUTRAGEOUS! These demanding criminals are always trying to take over U.S. politics. The purpose of their march is only to DEMAND this and DEMAND that while demonstrating what an unruly low class of cheating people they really are. Do the honorable thing yourselves, if you want a moritorium on raids because you are here illegally, go back to where you came from and you will have no trouble from our laws.
