CA - Orange County May Opt Out of State Sanctuary Laws
9 hr ago
More towns and cities in California are exploring their options to possibly join Los Alamitos in rejecting the state’s sanctuary law.
Orange County is taking action and may soon be no sanctuary for illegal immigrants.
This coming Tuesday, Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel says the OC Board of Supervisors will join the city of Los Alamitos and vote to opt out of California’s sanctuary laws.
“We are doing the right thing because when the state tries to implement the bad law to the citizens, then you know we really have to stand up. That’s why I really appreciate what they did and Los Alamitos is in my district and we’re going to work together and fight back.”
Orange County is the third most populous county in California.
The cities of Aliso Viejo, Buena Park and Huntington Beach have all been weighing their options since leaders say the state’s sanctuary laws puts them at odds with the federal government.
Steel was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
