Why Can’t Politicians Get Immigration Reform Right?

Among the many mine-fields the primary candidates are required to walk through is the one most commonly called “Immigration Reform.â€

Just me, but the reason they can't get 'immigration reform' right is because we don't need reform - except a ruling that anchor babies are not automatically citizens.

Other than that, enforcement is what we need - and lots of it.

Has the President said the illegals should prepare to leave? Has Chertoff said the illegals should prepare to leave?

If they have, I haven't heard it - all I hear is doublespeak and pretend raids - and money set aside for lawyers for the illegals.

When I was a child I used to hear the newsmen call the Soviet Union an Iron Curtain. It appears that you didn't get in or out easily. World politics certainly did not influence the old Soviet Union either. I think America should deport all illegals and then put an Iron curtain around itself and refuse to be influenced by idiots like Fox and Caulderon. It is time to tell Mexico to shut up and back off or else.
