UNITED AMERICAS BANK OBJECT OF PROTEST BY THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE FOUNDATION AND OTHER CONCERNED CITIZENS.

Atlanta, GA. - The American Resistance Foundation [T.A.R.] and concerned American citizens will rally in front of the United Americas Bank, 3789 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, at 10:00 AM Saturday, 23 July 2005. The rally is part of an ongoing effort to draw public attention to the bank’s practice of making mortgage loans and opening accounts for thousands of people residing in the U.S. illegally.

According to bank officials, United Americas Bank [UAB] accepts as valid ID the unsecure and easily forged Mexican issued Matricula Consular ID, and, in violation of IRS guidelines, the IRS issued Individual Tax Identification Number [ITIN].

Georgia State Senator - and national board member of MALDEF - Sam Zamarripa is a founding partner and Director of UAB.

“Because of its ease of forgery, the Mexican Matricula Consular ID is not accepted in most banks in Mexico� observed D.A. King, founder of T.A.R. “Opening accounts for illegal aliens, handling funds received as payment for illegal labor - and making mortgage loans to illegal aliens amounts to money laundering by those who profit from this activity�. “It is a violation of USC 8, section 1324 to encourage an illegal alien to remain in the United States� said King.

T.A.R. opposes illegal immigration and those who profiteer from that crime, as well as any amnesty proposal for illegal aliens.

why Saturday when the bank is closed ? Friday afternoon is the best time to do a bank.

All our banks in this area are closed on Sat. Friday afternoon you see all the immigrants hanging around the parking lot waiting for their "employers" to come out with the cash.

Maybe in Georgia they are open 1/2 day on Saturday. I know in Missouri when I was growing up, our banks were open 1/2 day on Saturday so working people who worked during banker's hours had access to their bank.

Lets hope so. It would be kinda futile to protest a closed bank. Unless it is in a high traffic spot.

Oh....I know why they might be doing it on Saturday, or least a possibility. They probably figured if they protested during banking hours, the police would shut them down. We've already learned that one call from the local affiliate of the National Council of La Raza squelches free speech in the United States and sadly, the local police are only too eager to oblige La Raza from Philadelphia to Denver to Baldwin Park, California--which is coast to coast in my book.

Free Speech is a terrible thing to waste.

You don't have a veryhigh option of the police do you?

1. Philadelphia Police ejected several American Citizens from the Philadelphia Convention Center, a public building, at a public exhibition, open to the public because they were wearing T-shirts that said "border patrol" upon a phone call from the convention security prompted by the National Council of La Raza, holding the convention.

2. Denver Police ejected 40 American Citizens from a public park where they were meeting to discuss illegal immigration after having been ejected from a public restaurant where they were customers and in a back room holding a meeting

3. Baldwin Park Police corralled the Baldwin Park protestors of a monument that had language the American Citizens objected to and told them to leave the area because they could no longer guarantee their safety due to the large number of anti-protestors showed up; threw a water bottle and hit one of the American Citizens in the head sending her to the hospital. Even though police showed up in riot gear prepared to control the crowd, they opted instead to usher the quiet peaceful American Citizens off the scene of the protest.

These three examples show a tendency for the police departments to follow the agenda of illegal aliens instead of enforcing the laws of the United States and protecting American Citizens Rights to Free Speech and Rights to Assembly.

This seems "more than eager" to me to squelch citizens rights since there is no reason to usher American Citizens anywhere, unless they are violating the law. None of the citizens involved in the above three incidents were breaking any laws.

In the Baldwin Park incident, the anti-protestors creating the potential for violence needed to be ushered off the scene if anyone needed to be ushered off the scene.

Perhaps the folks in Georgia are trying to avoid a premature end to their protest?

What do you make of it charlesoakisland? All this police involvement and ushering American Citizens off this place and that when they are expressing their Free Speech rights peacefully and legally?
