Romney says Rubio is being vetted for VP

Mitt Romney told reporters in Michigan that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is being vetted as a potential vice presidential candidate.

"Marco Rubio is being thoroughly vetted as part of our process," Romney said.

ABC News had reported this morning that the Tea Party favorite was not getting vetted for to be Mitt Romney's running mate, and the report cited "knowledgeable sources." to ABC News. That report said Rubio "has not been asked to complete any questionnaires or been asked to turn over any financial documents typically required of potential vice presidential candidates."

    STORY: Rubio's 'American Son'

The Romney campaign has not provided any details about the vice presidential selection process ever since the former Massachusetts governor let it be known that he's tapped Beth Myers, his former chief of staff, to run the running-mate search.

Rubio has refused repeatedly to say whether he is being vetted, out of "respect for the process" and Romney.

Still, Rubio's name is frequently mentioned as a possible VP contender and former Florida governor Jeb Bush is among those who have been touting the Tea Party favorite as a top pick. Rubio has been highlighted as someone to watch ever since he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

Oh NO not Rubio, I was hoping he would go for a strong conservative. I guess that is too much to ask, this whole thing makes me sick.

I think I suggested a few weeeks ago that there was a fellow named Mitt Romney who had an etch-a-sketch mentality, that our faith was ill placed in him.

Now, we do not even know whether he is or is'nt vetting Rubio. In less than one single day we've been told both, yes and no! Imagine how difficult it would be managing family finances from day to day with this guy, shaking that etch-a-sketch and developing a new picture twice a day!

Nope, not voting for him or his principal opponent. At very least, I'll be able to say, "Hell no, I did not vote for him!!" (regardless of who him is).

What's wrong with the Tea Party???? How can they be throwing their support behind Rubio and Jeb Bush?
