I'm certainly not supporting California in this. I'm just telling you where they say the money will come from. Please don't shoot the messenger.

Together, Medicaid and CHIP cover about 45 percent of all children in the state.
And that's in .... Texas. Really?!! Are you kidding me?!! 45% of children in the state of Texas have parents who can't or won't pay their children's doctor and medical bills?!!! Sorry, but that is absolutely disgusting. Either you're gaming the federal government and taxpayers or you're like the old woman who lives in a shoe who has so many children she doesn't know what to do. Good Grief! We learned from our nursery rhymes not to have more children than you can afford to take care of properly.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Household Size* Maximum Income Level (Per Year)
    1 $23,760
    2 $32,040
    3 $40,320
    4 $48,600
    5 $56,880
    6 $65,160
    7 $73,460
    8 $81,780

*For households with more than eight people, add $8,320 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.

Bottom line is the states and cities pay the lion's share for illegals, anchor babies healthcare and now the gov't plans to contribute even less - AKA - YOU pay MORE city, state, property tax etc. while the fed gov't DOES NOT ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAWS!

"Because CHIP is a capped program, each state is provided an annual CHIP allotment. Every fiscal year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) determines the share of program funding they will pay that year. States must provide matching funds to get their federal funding allotment."

CHIP wasn't funded by the federal government, so 600,000 children will lose health insurance by January 2018

Though it was a key promise of his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has not yet repealed, or replaced, Obamacare.

This doesn’t mean the Trump administration and current Republican congress haven’t been able to change health care in the US, though. The former has cut funds for Obamacare enrollment outreach and passed regulations that chip away at reproductive-health coverage provisions of the Affordable Care Act, while the latter just voted to approve a new tax bill that would end the ACA’s individual mandate, and likely result in rapid insurance premium hikes.

The government doesn’t seem too concerned about children’s health either, based on its failure to renew federal funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Since it passed in 1997, CHIP has been instrumental in ensuring the health care coverage of children in US families that aren’t poor enough to qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford any other form of insurance. Depending on the state, that includes families with incomes ranging from 300% to 200% of the federal poverty line.

There are 8.9 million children currently enrolled.

The program is financed jointly by the federal and state governments, with federal funds matching state contributions. But when the deadline for funding CHIP through 2018 came on Sept. 30 of this year, the federal government could not agree on a way to keep paying for the program.

Unless Congress passes new legislation to refinance CHIP, the only federal funding available to states for next year will be whatever is left over from each state’s’ yearly federal funds, and limited contributions coming from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. That won’t be nearly enough to keep CHIP running through 2018 in any state. And most will have to end the program before spring. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 75% of states will run out of funds for CHIP by the end of March.

So far, 14 states have said they will have to phase out CHIP coverage for children sometime in January 2018.

Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and Utah will be the first: In these states alone, over 600,000 children will lose their health care.

    State Affected children
    Colorado 74,873
    Connecticut 11,000
    Texas 452,179
    Virginia 67,000
    Utah Not available

I hope they all run out of money. You breed 'em, you feed 'em and pay their doctors bills.

I wasn’t MW and apologize if it came off that way.

I get so frustrated with the traitors in Sacremento taking our money
and giving it to illegal aliens.

E-verify Healthcare...NO benefits to illegal aliens.

Have hospitals and Doctor's report them to ICE

These hospitals and Doctor's offices are a business! Do not aid and abet illegal aliens!

They can go HOME and get healthcare in their country!
ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE "BROKEN" OUR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM

You damn right, Beezer. Hospitals and doctors are a HUGE business, 1/6th of the US economy. Can you imagine? People are getting ripped off, overcharged and underserved by this HUGE "business", and 80% of it is "charity", 501 C 3 "charity" hospitals. It's disgusting what this "business" has turned into. Appalling what has happened to our once wonderful and admired medical industry. It's shameful what is going on and Obamacare made it worse, not better. Now they're killing older patients to save "resources" for younger ones. It's putrid. Sarah Palin was telling the truth about the Death Panels. I actually looked it up and it's right there in black and white for hospitals to decide to kill someone off.
