Show them the door!

It's insanity to contribute to our own demise, but that's exactly what we're doing, and almost no one will talk about it.

The markets are rocked, financial institutions are toppled and the government pledges billions of dollars for a bailout.

They'd better have plenty of green ink on hand for government printing presses churning out greenbacks to cover those guarantees, even though that money will be worth less and less.

Governments on all levels, from local to state and in-between, face tough financial times, with many threatened by bankruptcy. Tax revenues decline, but spending keeps rising.

Strange how politicians never have any trouble spending other people's money – namely, your money – in their efforts to get re-elected.

As citizens watch their homes lose value, mortgages foreclose, savings and retirement devastated and jobs disappearing, their own governments are protecting people who are in flagrant violation of multiple laws and cost communities multi-millions of dollars.

It's inconceivable that during an economic crisis, sane people would support politicians who allow and condone flagrant lawlessness. But they do, and it's all because of political correctness, diversity and multiculturalism – to say nothing of liberal politics.

Add to the mix religious leaders who support the lawbreaking in the name of God – and you have a recipe for disaster.

Like it or not, that's where we are, and I'm talking about illegal immigration.

This country has been invaded – yes, invaded – by millions of illegals from nations across the world, although most come from Mexico, our immediate southern neighbor.

The result is an unbelievable financial, social and cultural burden on every segment of U.S. society – education, medicine, the social structure, housing, jobs, law enforcement, the courts, the prison system and more.

As if it weren't bad enough that illegals by the thousands cross the border daily and spread out across the country, they're aided and abetted by politicians who foist "sanctuary city" regulations on their jurisdictions – doing it without a vote of the people or even, in many cases, even telling citizens what they're doing.

By the time it's discovered, it's essentially too late because by then, terrible damage has been done. Unfortunately, that damage is too often measured in the local news and on police blotters, which record the trail of blood across our landscape.

I know, I know – the liberal line is always: They're just coming here for a better life, or they're just here to pick lettuce or tomatoes.

If those are the reasons illegals come here, then one is hard pressed to explain the horrific crime in their wake that's exacerbated by ethnic gangs dealing drugs, sex and guns and engaging in horrific – and often casual and senseless – violence.

Apparently, those who defend illegals believe good people who die violently because of illegals in this country are just collateral damage to life in the 21st century.

Tell that to the Bologna family in San Francisco who had their father and two young sons shot and killed in their own car a few blocks from home.

Apparently, the accused gunman mistook the three for rival gang members (they weren't) because of their swarthy complexion (they're Italian) and shot them.

The accused is an illegal and a member of the deadly MS-13 gang. He was protected by San Francisco's sanctuary law from being reported to federal officials for prior crimes.

It's been revealed that the sanctuary law has shielded hundreds of adult illegals who posed as juveniles. Even worse, the San Francisco Chronicle reports there are now at least 372 convicted adult felons on probation who were never reported to the feds because the sanctuary law forbids it, and police are ordered not to cooperate with ICE officials.

In Florida, an illegal was involved in a hit and run. He's been here illegally for two years, had no license, led police on a chase, gave two different names when arrested and has no remorse. He's 18.

Things are so bad in the Lake County jail in Illinois, where a fifth of the prisoners are illegals, that Sheriff Mark Curran wants permission to deport them. So far, no dice.

In Baltimore, a MS-13 gang member was convicted first-degree murder for stabbing to death two men who unknowingly flashed a rival gang hand gesture while dancing in a club.

In Colorado, an illegal held in a triple auto fatality had been arrested nearly 20 times over the course of five years. He's 23.

A complete list of atrocities by illegals, including robbery, rape, murder and more, would be almost endless.

The feds just reported the arrests of 112 people involved in passport fraud – stealing birth certificates of dead Americans and using them for fraudulent passports so they can hide from the law. Among those charged are illegals from more than 20 countries.

There are only 23 states that do not have some form of sanctuary law in various cities and counties. Essentially, that prevents police from cooperating with ICE to enforce federal immigration laws and see these people are deported.

When they're not, they burden schools, overload hospitals and emergency rooms, increase costs of social welfare programs and cause court and jail expenses to skyrocket.

You wonder at the sanity of people willing to ruin their cities, infrastructure and culture for the sake of people who have so little respect for law and order that they'll sneak into the country and live below the radar for the freebies.

They're not here to become Americans. They're here to continue their own nationality and suck from American largesse.

They're not fools. We are – and too many of our politicians encourage it. For the U.S. to survive, it must be stopped.

Rattle the cages! Let politicians know, in no uncertain terms, that amnesty is not acceptable, and neither are sanctuary cities – unless, of course, you're willing to surrender.
