'CATCH, RELEASE AND A RIDE' INSULTS UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS

'CATCH, RELEASE AND A RIDE' INSULTS UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS

    US Fed News
    January 13, 2010
    WASHINGTON, D.C.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee issued the following news release:

Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-TX) issued the following statement today in response to a news report regarding illegal immigrants who were caught-and-released en route to work at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts last week.

According to the story, dozens of illegal immigrants said they were detained and processed then driven back to the stadium by federal agents.

According to one of the illegal immigrants quoted in the story, "They told us if you want to go to work, you can go to work."

Ranking Member Smith: "The Obama administration's latest refusal to enforce the nation's immigration laws is an insult to every out-of-work citizen and legal immigrant.

The Obama administration has reinstated the failed catch-and-release policies of the past and has even gone so far as to turn federal law enforcement officers into taxi drivers to get illegal immigrants back to their illegal jobs!

"These jobs rightfully belong to citizens and legal immigrants. With a 10 percent unemployment rate, now is the time for the President to enforce immigration laws and return stolen jobs to the people.

When the jobs stolen by illegal immigrants are recovered for citizens and legal workers, American workers benefit.

"President Obama could create eight million jobs for citizens and legal workers simply by enforcing immigration laws.

Instead, weak immigration enforcement policies hurt citizens and legal immigrants. It is hard to conceive of a worse time to implement such policies, but that is exactly what the administration has done."

It is a violation of federal law for an illegal immigrant to work without authorization. Eight million illegal immigrants currently work in the U.S.

The release and return-to-work of these illegal immigrants follows the implementation of a new fugitive policy by the Obama administration that federal agents should only detain illegal immigrants who have removal orders or criminal histories.

The policy ignores the data that shows caught-and-released illegal immigrants rarely show up for later court dates.

It cracks me up how we have to be stripped searched at an airport, throw away your breat milk, can't bring along shampoo etc. but they leave our border wide open. Many illegals crossing our border are not just Mexicans or South Amercians. They are Indians, Arabs etc.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick publicly released his "New Americans Agenda" on November 17, 2009. The 45 page report contains 131 recommendations, all of which would benefit both the legal immigrants and hundreds of thousands of illegal alien residents of this state.

Among the objectionable 131 recommendations to benefit illegal aliens at the Massachusetts taxpayers' expense:

    1. Access to taxpayer subsidized in-state college tuition for all immigrant residents.

    2. Access to drivers licenses.

    3. Expanded ESOL programs in schools and the workplace.

    4. Increased funding for translation and interpreter service in schools.

    5. Bilingual education.

    6. Translator services available at all health centers.

    7. Financial assistance with Naturalization costs.

    8. Subsidized Public Housing.

    9. Assistance with housing applications.

    10. Adult dental services coverage by Mass-Health.

    11. Increased access to multilingual support staff in State Agencies.

    12. Discourage questioning by local and state police on the immigration status of those involved in crimes - including suspects.

We are sponsoring a petition to be presented to our governor and state legislators, opposing the "New Americans Agenda" and the damaging impact it threatens to have on the legal, taxpaying citizens of Massachusetts. If you are a Massachusetts resident, please take a moment to read and sign this petition:

    The Georgia shootings--

Kennesaw GA-- Yesterday a 60 year unemployed man walked into a Penske facility in Kennesaw. He shot 5 people. Today two are in critical condition, three are dead.

The local TV station interviewed his neighbors. One of them said that the man had lost his job, yet the store kept the Hispanic employees. It is sad. The man must be somewhat deranged to go to that extreme. I believe more actions, hopefully, nowhere near this extreme, but protests and maybe a few fights here and there, might break out. Times are tough. Jobs do not exist. People get desperate and our politicians are ignoring us.

I think picket signs, rallies, letters and calls to your representatives and the voting booths are the answer. When we are but a few voices we are a squeak from a mouse. When we are hundreds of thousands, even millions, we are the mouse that roars.

SAD TO SAY THAT I CAN SEE MORE AND MORE OF THIS HAPPENING ACROSS THE COUNTRY DUE T OTHE FACT THAT, ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE TAKING JOBS THAT OUT OF WORK AMERICAN CITIZENS SHOULD BE WORKING. THE ECONOMY WILL NEVER REBOUND AS LONG AS NON TAXPAYING ILLEGALS ARE THE ONLY ONES GETTING HIRED IN THIS COUNTRY. I DON'T THINK THIS MAN WAS DERANGED AT ALL, I THINKK HE WAS JUST ANGRY AT HIS SITUATION AND HE REACTED IN THIS MANNER. ALSO, HE PROBABLY HAS A FAMILY TO SUPPORT AND NOW WITHOUT A JOB, WHILE THE HISPANIC WORKERS WERE STILL EMPLOYED HE SNAPPED. AND LIKE I SAID THIS IS GOING TO BE REPEATED MORE AND MORE

People like Lamar Smith is why we can not throw our everyone in congress....we have to know who the good ones and who the bad ones are in order to build the support we need in congress.

People in 2006 were in such a hurry to throw anyone out they dumped some of the wrong people like JD Hayworth.
