CBP Officers Seize $816,000 in Cocaine, Arrest Two at Brownsville Port of Entry

Brownsville, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge, Brownsville, Texas, discovered cocaine valued at $816,000 hidden within an SUV.

On Monday, officers referred a 1999 Honda Odyssey to secondary inspection where further examination revealed 10 packages containing 11.58 kilograms (25.5 pounds) of cocaine. Two Mexican citizens were arrested.

The cocaine has an estimated street value of $816,000. The narcotics, driver, passenger and vehicle were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents for further processing.
