CBP Officers Stop Canadian Wanted for Sexual Assault

CBP Officers Stop Man at Michigan Border Crossing Wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault

    (Wednesday, December 31, 200

Sault Sainte Marie, Mich. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Sault Sainte Marie port of entry apprehended a Madill, Okla., man on a warrant for aggravated sexual assault.

On December 30, at 12:35 p.m., Harold Wilcox applied for entry at International Bridge as the driver of an Oklahoma registered car. Initial system queries by primary CBP officer revealed an outstanding U.S. Marshals arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault.

Harold Wilcox, 70, a citizen of Canada, legal permanent resident of the U.S., who resides in Madill, Okla., was referred to passport processing for further inspection. In secondary, CBP officers’ checks of a Customs and Border Protection database identified Wilcox as the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant from the U.S. Marshals.

CBP officers confirmed the arrest warrant was active and turned Wilcox over to officers from the Sault Sainte Marie Police Department for detention and processing pending extradition to Texas on charges of aggravated sexual assault.

Devin Chamberlain, CBP port director at the Sault Sainte Marie port of entry said, “This is one more example of how our CBP officers work to stop fugitives as they attempt to cross our borders.â€

Well wait! Where's the outcry about this poor pervert being stopped during a holiday season? (sorry, I'm being a smart aleck)

Just goes to show that the mean ol' Border Patrol doesn't just "pick on" poor "undocumented workers".
