Joint Base Lewis-McChord Hosts 2-Day Job Fair

Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection will host a 2-day recruiting event at the Nelson Recreation Center on Friday (9 am to 3 pm) and Saturday (10 am to 2 pm) , November 19-20. CBP will be recruiting U.S. military veterans, active-duty personnel and reservists for careers as CBP officers or Border Patrol agents.

CBP law enforcement professionals serve as America’s Frontline on our nation’s borders, at ports of entry, field stations and checkpoints across the United States. CBP agents & officers are responsible for wide-ranging missions that protect our nation’s borders from terrorism, drug, alien and weapons smuggling and agricultural pests, while facilitating the flow of legitimate travel and trade.

Qualified candidates have the potential to earn up $75,000 within three years of service, receive federal benefits like comprehensive health and dental insurance, and be afforded many opportunities for career advancement.
