OPERATION EMPLOYMENT WATCH

Houston - U.S. Border Watch announces "Operation Employment Watch" has begun in Houston, and the surrounding areas.

Day labor observations began this week and will continue through the month of September. Curtis Collier, co-founder of U.S. Border Watch says, "The message is, if you hire undocumented workers in the Houston area, we will catch you and expose you." {Hell Yeah, Get em boys!}

U.S. Code: title 8: section 1324a, states it is unlawful for a person or entity to hire, or to recruit or refer for fee, for employment in the United States an alien knowing the alien is an unauthorized alien.

Notification letters will be sent out to companies, and individuals who pick up suspected illegal immigrants for hire. Curtis states, "Any company hiring illegal immigrants are depriving American citizens of jobs, and are depressing wages across our economy."

According to the U.S. Census Bureau there are over 10 million illegal immigrants in the United States. While I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) does a tremendous job with the resources they have, they are under funded, and under staffed.

U.S. Border Watch plans to expand "Operation Employment Watch" to other Texas cities later this fall, and is looking to take the project nationwide early next year.

In a recent analysis by the Pew Hispanic Center over a 12 month period ending March 31st, 28% of all new jobs created in the country went to non- citizens.

Curtis states, "This is a whole new approach where we go after the employers who hire illegal immigrants. If our Government won't do it, then we will." Curtis goes on to say, "The American public is fed up with the situation on our borders."
