An illegal alien anti-Trump immigration activist has been charged with 103 counts of vandalism at the University of Connecticut where he attended.

The graffiti included “F**k Trump,” and “PEST,” the latter is allegedly his tag signature. He also allegedly painted cartoon face with “F**k Trump” in a bubble on university property. The Daily Mail reported that 21-year-old Cruz-Lopez described himself as an undocumented immigrant.

Cruz-Lopez (pictured above in black shirt) is a community organizer for CT Students for a Dream, an organization that advocates for undocumented students, reported the Hartford Courant. Police at the University knew Cruz-Lopez because he helped coordinate protests against President Trump and his immigration policies.

United We Dream described Cruz-Lopez as “a student with DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals),” after police arrested him at the White House in February 2016. The United We Dream website states, “We organize and advocate for the dignity and fair treatment of immigrant youth and families, regardless of immigration status.”

Police arrested the immigration activist for allegations of criminal mischief after an investigation into acts of vandalism which occurred between December and March. The tagger reportedly used a paint marker and a spray can.

The Courant reported that officers arrested Cruz-Lopez after university police viewed surveillance cameras and learned that he had used his UConn swipe card.

Cruz-Lopez reportedly gave police a written statement that said, “I did the graffiti,” and “I am open to entering into a conversation about restitution,” reported the local publication.

The University expended $4,255 to remove the graffiti and clean up the damage. The Homer Babbidge Library, the Student Union, and other university buildings were defaced.

The former UConn student has a court date in Rockville in Superior Court on June 14. A judge released the alleged tagger without bail. He has listed addresses in Storrs and Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Breitbart News reported on April 19 that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said during an appearance on Fox that although DACA enrollees are not being targeted but are subject to deportation. “Everybody in the country illegally is subject to being deported,” Sessions stated. “[T]he policy is that if people are here unlawfully, they’re subject to being deported. … [W]e can’t promise people who are here unlawfully that they’re not going to be deported.”

He has listed addresses in Storrs and Bridgeport, Connecticut. The article states they caught him because he swiped his student ID, and yet this statement says FORMER student. Did UConn do the right thing and kick his butt to the curb? I certainly hope so!

Connecticut has made illegals believe they are above the law, this could be just the thing to panic the invaders!

So illegal alien "Cruz-Lopez" had DACA protective status up until the moment they arrested him a second time? This illegal was told he could do what he wants without consequence before it got to this point.

CT postpones vote on tuition aid for illegal immigrants

    May 31, 2017
    Nikita Vladimirov

The Connecticut House of Representatives on Tuesday postponed a vote on a bill that would give illegal immigrants financial aid following the arrest of a student activist earlier this month.

The chamber delayed the vote scheduled for last week after Eric Cruz Lopez, a native of Mexico, was charged with spray-painting expletives about President Trump on the University of Connecticut campus, according to a report by The Associated Press.

Cruz was charged with more than 100 counts of misdemeanor vandalism on May 7, and reportedly confessed responsibility in a statement to the police.

Prior to his arrest, Lopez was one of the leading immigration activists on campus, strongly backing the measure to give illegal immigrants access to financial aid at the state's public universities.

Following the results of the 2016 presidential election, Cruz also led a march on campus demanding that the university implement policies to protect students from potentially aggressive immigration policies of the new administration.

"I have been worried about paying for college since I was 10, knowing that because we had to go to a food pantry to get food, paying for my education was going to be hard," Cruz, who came to the U.S. at the age of 7, told the AP.

According to the report, the postponed legislation would have allowed immigrants with special visas under President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals executive order to utilize $165 million in institutional financial aid at public colleges and universities around the state.

“It’s frustrating to see this one person’s action, in a moment in time, hurt the hopes and dreams of hundreds of Connecticut college students, putting their hopes and dreams out of reach,” said Democratic State Sen. Beth Bye. “His actions are not indicative at all of who these students are.”

Some conservatives around the country have blasted the state's legislative effort, arguing that the arrest of Cruz clearly demonstrates that the students should not have access to more financial assistance.
