Trump warns Syrian refugees could be 'one of the great Trojan horses'

    By GABBY MORRONGIELLO • 11/16/15 11:36 AM

Donald Trump continued his criticism of President Obama's Syria policy Monday, hours after Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said the President has no plans to halt the acceptance of refugees from the war-torn country.

"We cannot let them into this country, period," the Republican presidential hopeful told CNBC.

Trump continued, "We have no idea who these people are, we are the worst when it comes to paperwork.

"This could be one of the great Trojan horses," he said.

Despite suggesting in early September that the U.S. should open its doors to a limited number of Syrian refugees "on a humanitarian basis," the real estate mogul has blasted the administration in recent weeks for allowing them into the country. Trump went as far as to say that, as president, he would send them back.

"I'm putting people on notice that are coming here from Syria as part of this mass migration, that if I win, they're going back," he told supporters in New Hampshire in late September.

"They could be ISIS. ... This could be one of the greatest tactical ploys of all time. A 200,000 man army maybe. I don't know that it is, but it could be possible," Trump added at the time.

French authorities confirmed on Sunday that one of the terrorists involved in the recent attacks in Paris, France, arrived in Europe in wave of Syrian refugees. The man, who falsely identified himself as Ahmad al Muhammad, was permitted to enter Greece in October, according to CNN.

"I know so many people, Muslims, who are such unbelievably great people, and they're being so badly tarnished by what's happening now, it's a shame," Trump, who's third in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, added Monday during an interview with MSNBC. "But it's a tremendous amount of horror and damage and vitriol."

It doesn't make sense to me that ISIL would go to the trouble of smuggling in terrorists disguised as Syrian refugees. It would be much easier just to ship them to Mexico and let them hoof it across the border. They could even carry their weapons with them! No paperwork and very hard to track.

Oh they don't need to be smuggled into the United States. They come here on visas and green cards, and can get their guns or any other items they need here in the US.

By coming as "refugees" they help avoid the label "illegal alien" and the US government pays for their travel costs, food, housing, cell phones, education, healthcare, and gives them cash if they come this way.
