In any state court in the country, you would be guaranteed under the US Constitution, a hearing before a judge on your "charges" within 14 to 20 days. Ask all the Trump people the US DOJ has "prosecuted", they got hearings before a federal judge within days of their arrest. There is no excuse for what's going on in the US DOJ "immigration" courts. It's a farce, a charade, a nasty open borders tool to flood this country with illegal aliens being "processed".

Speedy trial statutes[edit]
In addition to the constitutional guarantee, various state and federal statutes confer a more specific right to a speedy trial.[3] In New York, the prosecution must be "ready for trial" within six months on all felonies except murder, or the charges are dismissed by action of law without regard to the merits of the case. This is also known as a "ready rule".[4] In California courts, defendants have a right to a trial within 100 days to a year.
The federal law detailing this right is the Speedy Trial Act of 1974. All U.S. states have either statutes or constitutional provisions detailing this right.[5] In 1979 the Act was amended to ensure that the defendant had time to provide a suitable defense. This amendment made it so trial could not start within less than 30 days after the defendant first appeared in the court.[6]

Sigh. That's a TRIAL. They will have had 4 or 5 "hearings" before then. Deportation is not a crime, it's a civil remedy to an immigration violation. It takes 1 hearing, the first one within 2 to 3 weeks MAX of an arrest, like any hearing on a traffic ticket.

I have no problem calling it amnesty. DACA is amnesty. It's kind of stupid to think a bill that extends DACA which is already an amnesty needs to be called out as an amnesty, as if it's something "new", when it certainly wasn't "new", in fact the House bill ended the DACA Amnesty in 9 years, the Senate bill, 12 years but with a pathway to citizenship. Meanwhile, the other 70 legislative actions would have ended illegal immigration once and for all as well as reduced legal immigration. The Goodlatte bill which was the House bill got close to passing in spite of our lobbying efforts against it. If we had supported it, it would have passed the House and maybe had a chance in the Senate. Both the House and Senate bills had $25 billion in wall funding too. That would have been worth shutting the government down to get the Senate Dem votes. That would have been a fight worth having.
But that's gone and then we lost the House in the mid-terms, so it's all over for awhile, except what Trump can do on his own through the Executive Branch.
I'm sure you know all this, I'm sure you know that when you work to throw Republicans out of the Congress to replace with with Open Border DemoQuacks, there will be no progress made on stopping illegal immigration. You don't strike me a stupid person who wouldn't know this would be the outcome.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
