    Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, made a final plea this week to President George Bush to commute the sentences of jailed U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

    While I'm glad Sen. Cornyn did this, I hope he backs off his support for "comprehensive immigration reform" amnesty that he has been promoting lately.

    this is also posted on the el paso times and most of those
    responding seem to think they need to stay in prison.
