    "Occupy Lincoln" Limbuagh Protest Fails

Of course, the liberal Lincoln Journal-Star tries to make it seem like the protest was a success...

A Thursday afternoon protest by Occupy Lincoln at radio station KLIN drew just seven people, but the protesters said their message was heard.

They said comments by radio host Rush Limbaugh toward Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke were misogynistic and a form of hate speech that shouldn't be tolerated on the radio.

But KLIN (1400 AM) has no plans to drop "The Rush Limbaugh Show," said John Bishop, program director for the station at 4343 O St.

"I've said this quite a few times -- and even on the air -- that it's ultimately a free-market decision," Bishop said. "We have Rush because there's an audience for it, and we have advertisers who want to advertise on it."

Bishop said the station had not lost any local advertising since the Limbaugh incident, but some have asked that their ads be moved. He declined to say who had asked to move and didn't have a number for how many requests there had been.

Limbaugh called Fluke a slut and prostitute last week after she urged lawmakers to consider the importance of contraception coverage in national health care policy.

Limbaugh apologized on his website Saturday and on the air Monday, but more than a dozen national companies have pulled advertising from the show, and some radio stations have dropped it.

"It's an objectionable term," Bishop said of Limbaugh's comments. "But (Limbaugh) apologized for using it, and it's our decision to hold on to him."

Shouldn't be tolerated UNLESS it's liberals talking about Conservatives! Then of course it's perfectly fine...
