Tempe church letter protests Arpaio sweeps
From Staff Reports
Fifty-one people associated with Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church in Tempe have signed a letter sent to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors raising issues over Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the management of taxpayer funds by his department.
The letter addressed to Fulton Brock, chairman, and copied to supervisors, county officials and Arpaio, was approved for distribution by the church’s governing body on May 6. Pastor Art Campbell and former Tempe Councilman Leonard Copple are among those who signed it.

OOooooooo, does the Tempe church account for the federal money they get for "outreach" programs they run? I'd love to know how much of that money is spent on illegal aliens! They opened up a huge can of whoop a$$.

Okay, am I missing something? The churches DON'T PAY TAXES!!!!!
How can they complain about the use of taxpayer funds when they aren't taxpayers?
In addition, tax-exempt religious institutions aren't allowed to make such political statements without risking their status. If given the choice between retracting the statement or losing their status, which do you think they'd choose?
Their statement is as distasteful as criticizing a concert when the tickets were free.

I have seen posts here from time to time that I thught anti Hispanic but it was not the real driving force behind most of the members. I have heard ignorant opponents accusing us of being a group of anti Hispanics when in fact most Latin Americans like say Mexicans in Mexico would complain if what is happening here were happening in their country. For those Latinos who are real Americans the current uncontroled illegal immigration going on is a recognized problem. Some of our most kick ass culo patando posters are Latinos. Gracias
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

IMO, the churches that whine about law enforcement are no different than the employers, the illegal aliens themselves, the pandering politicians and the organizations that support them, e.g., La Raza & LULAC. It's all about money. These money grubbing churches don't give a hoot about their souls or their well being. They want more money in the collection plate, duh. And like all the others who love cheap Mexican labor, they're breaking the law and the penalty ought to be loss of tax exempt status. But they get away with it 'cuz our politicos won't enforce the law -- as usual.
