SUMAS, Wash. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports its officers at the port of entry at Sumas seized $373,000 and 127 pounds of marijuana concealed in a false roof compartment of a Canadian truck.

The seizures were made on Saturday night at 8 during an inspection that involved an x-ray type examination. The marijuana was valued at $381,000.

The federal agency says the money and marijuana were aboard a truck-trailer carrying a shipment of aluminum railing components bound for California.

The currency, marijuana and truck-trailer were seized by CBP officers. The case is being investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
