DANBURY, CT -- A local man will be deported after a traffic stop Friday, when police learned he was wanted by immigration officials.

Robson Nunes Da Cruz, 26, of West Wooster Street, was stopped about 10:30 a.m. because there was snow on his car, obscuring the vehicle's rear lights, police said. The car wasn't registered and Da Cruz didn't have a driver's license, according to police.

He was cited for driving an unregistered motor vehicle and operating without a license, and a computer check determined there was an oustanding deportation warrant for him, police said.

Da Cruz was held at police headquarters briefly until he was picked up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, according to police.

Are all these people actually being returned to Mexico - as in all the way?

Are they all just going to the 'detention' centers where they can begin their defenses or lawsuits against the American government - at our expense?

He can be deported as he has already had a deportation hearing or failed to show up for one and an warrant was issued for his arrest and removal from the U.S..

if they haven't had a hearing Ice will release them with a court date unless they are criminal and a considered flight risk, if they do not show up in court they put a warrent out for them to be removed, (if they ever find them again).

The immigration judge has the right to decided if they can stay or be deported if they don't show in court then a warrant allows ICE to deport.(again if they can find them)

every illegal according to their civil rights :roll: (Don't ask me how they got those) has a right to a hearing before an immigration Judge.

OH yes and it is at taxpayer expence!!

How can an illegal NOT be considered a flight risk? They will just not show up in court, and move in the shadows to another part of the country.

Thats why I said (if they find them again) I agree they are all a flight risk!
The Judge also orders them to self deport..... :roll: like thats going to happen.
