KEY BISCAYNE, Fla., Sept. 13 (UPI) — Six Cubans made it ashore in Key Biscayne, Fla., Thursday after being smuggled by boat from Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Police said the migrants appeared to be in good health after their three-day journey and were provided with blankets and water by Miami fire-rescue, while waiting for Border Patrol officers to arrive, the Miami Herald reported.

Under the U.S. ''wet foot/dry foot'' policy, Cuban migrants that reach land in the United States are allowed to stay, and the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966 allows them to apply for a green card after 12-months in the country.

Too bad this type of policy doesn't apply for other crimes, such as robbing a bank and if you can get to your house, you get to keep the money. Or maybe you could steal a car and if you can make it to the state line, you get to keep the car.

Makes the same sense as this insane policy!
