A 30-year-old Mexican man who previously was deported from the U.S. after being convicted of rape has been captured again in Arizona, the Border Patrol says.

The agency announced that Anthony Diaz-Garcia, who is facing charges for re-entering the country as an aggravated felon, was in federal custody as of Monday after being tracked down west of Nogales.

It was not immediately clear how authorities came to know of Diaz-Garcia’s whereabouts, but agents say they learned about his criminal background after taking him in for processing.

Diaz-Garcia previously had been convicted of rape in the third degree in New York, in which he served six months in prison before being deported to Mexico, according to the Border Patrol.

Have many of these have we seen in the last few days.

Proof that being a felon does not deter these invaders in the least.

Exactly. All this stupid ridiculous plan to punish them with catch, arrest, detain at great expense, ultimately releasing them under court orders, it's all nonsense. Illegal aliens who enter illegally could care less, they're laughing about free medical care and 3 square a day while in detention at taxpayer expense as if that's some type of "punishment" or "deterrent". It's neither one.

We need Plan B.

Tell all these countries, if your citizens don't stop entering the US illegally, then your country will have no aid from or trade with the United States. Period.

So your answer is to just shove them back across the border without punishment. We'll, we've seen how that works. Your plan B is not an answer either.

Plan B is an answer, a very good, very quick, very cheap, very effective answer. When these countries receive no aid from and no trade with the United States, they will take their own action to stop the problem they cause.

Apparently they are not getting much punishment in the US-----Diaz-Garcia previously had been convicted of rape in the third degree in New York, in which he served six months in prison before being deported to Mexico, according to the Border Patrol.

No mention of a date on when the illegal returned, just when he was caught. He could have been here for the last two years. What's your answer? Do you want our revolving border door to just continue as it did under Obama. Besides that, this guy was never prosecuted for being an illegal reentry, he was prosecuted for a rape charge.

There are just some folks, regardless of what you do, are always going to have the criminal mentality. If prosecuting the illegal reentries and sending them to prison for 12-24 months just makes 80% of them dismiss the idea of reentering again, we're making progress. Just catching and shoving them across the border does not work and never has.

I say send this guy to prison for the next year or two! It tries to reenter again, give him five years.

The reason Plan B is effective is because when we provide aid to a nation, it is for their people, and when we conduct trade with a country, we are trading with their people and businesses. When their own people and businesses who profit and benefit from a good relationship with the US start to suffer, they will take the actions necessary to solve the problem that is getting in the way of their benefits and profits from the United States, and rightly so!
