Crime by illegals costly to New Mexicans

Taxpayers in New Mexico’s three southwestern counties bordering on Mexico are paying a disproportionate share of the cost of crimes committed by illegal immigrants, according to a report by a coalition of border counties.
The report says that the per-taxpayer cost of crime committed by illegal aliens is $33 in Dona Ana County, $25 in Luna County and $88 in Hidalgo County.

The study says the New Mexico Counties pay a larger per-person share the scarcity of population and comparatively small county budgets and police departments.

Any one with brain and common sense should NOT believe Richardson!!! I think NM needs a Governor with a BRAIN and COMMON SENSE!! When's Richardson seat as Gov up again? I lost track when I left TX. We should start a fund-raising campaign for (probably a Republican) candidate who will take a stand AGAINST illegal aliens and not be a hugger (even though there has been the passage of legislation against illegal alien's since Richardson took office). We can also wage a media letter writing campaign as we have done on the State by State legislation issues.
