David Spade Gives 100K To Buy Assult Rifles
LOS ANGELES — Actor and one-time Phoenix resident David Spade has donated $100,000 to the Phoenix Police Department. The department will use the much needed funds to buy high-powered rifles to defend the city from the growing influence of Mexican drug cartels.
Through his publicist, Spade explained that "these guys need to be able to do their jobs, and I am just happy I could help."
Spade says he got the idea for the donation after seeing a story on FOX News. Phoenix police say Spade called asking to donate to their rifle program after he saw that officers, outgunned and desperate for more firepower, wanted to buy their own semi-automatic rifles.
“Mr. Spade has stepped forward and has given a gift to our officers of increased safety," said Police Chief Jack Harris. "I am thrilled that we were able to accept that money that will hopefully bring us to 300 rifles on the street.â€Work Harder Millions on Welfare Depend on You!

David Spade Donates to the Family of Fallen Officer
Posted Oct 8th 2007 12:56PM by TMZ Staff
David Spade may be best known for skewering celebs and inexplicably dating attractive women, but beneath that sarcastic exterior lies a heart of gold.
Spade read the story of Phoenix police officer Nick Erfle, who was fatally shot by an undocumented immigrant last month. The story of the officer -- who had returned to patrol after overcoming a bout with cancer, and left behind a widow and two children -- touched Spade so much, he sent the family $25,000 to help them get back on their feet.
Spade had never met the officer but we're told Spade often donates to police charities in L.A. and this particular story "just touched him."

Badge Number: 6994
Incident Details
Cause of Death: Gunfire
Date of Incident: Tuesday, September 18, 2007
Weapon Used: Gun; Unknown type
Suspect Info: Shot and killed
Officer Nick Erfle was shot after he and his partner approached three people for jaywalking and obstructing traffic on 24th Street, one block north of Thomas Road.
One man gave a fictitious name that had a misdemeanor warrant and as they attempted to take him into custody, the suspect drew a weapon and shot Officer Erfle in the face. He was rushed to Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center where he died from his injuries an hour later.
The suspect then carjacked a vehicle and took the driver hostage. About an hour later, an unmarked special assignments unit spotted a car and suspect matching the carjacked vehicle's description.
They began surveillance and managed to box in the vehicle at 27th Avenue and McDowell Road. The suspect pointed his gun at the hostage and he was shot and killed by an officer. The suspect was later identified as an illegal alien with a felony record. He had been deported in 2006 and illegally re-entered the country.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The two females who were with the suspect when he was initially stopped were taken into custody for questioning.
Officer Erfle had served with the Phoenix Police Department for 8 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Definately a good man.
I hope he sets a trend. Open borders and lawlessness bring nothing but crime.

Wonderful action by a true patriot. The over worked, undermanned and under resourced police department knew they couldn't rely on a stinking, corrupt and cowardly sanctuary city mayor to properly equip his police department because he is on the side of cheap labor employers, the drug cartels and other illegal alien criminals. He'd much rather spend hundreds of millions of dollars for illegal alien health care, welfare, food stamps, education and other benefits instead of taking care of those who protect and serve the Phoenix citizenry. To care about the plight of Phoenix citizens and the police department besieged by escalating drug cartel violence would require a conscience which unfortunately this useless waste of space, taxpayer dollars and oxygen mayor Gordon doesn't have.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
