    Pence: Democrats Support Welfare Benefits for Illegal Immigrants

    WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence objected today to Democrat efforts to give illegal immigrants welfare benefits in the Agriculture Appropriations bill last Thursday. Pence’s statement follows:

    “I consider my ability to vote on the floor of the House of Representatives to be a privilege and a duty that I approach with great reflection and forethought.

    “Last night, the Republican minority in the Congress won a great victory for the American people, denying welfare benefits to illegal immigrants in the Agriculture Appropriations bill.

    “After Republicans prevailed, and after the gavel fell, the Democratic majority reopened the vote to ensure that illegal immigrants would be entitled to welfare benefits under this bill.

    “Along with my Republican colleagues, I walked out on behalf of the overwhelming majority of the American people who do not want illegal immigrants to receive welfare benefits.

    “The vote to deny illegal immigrants access to welfare benefits must stand. The American people deserve nothing less.â€

    Democheats

    I was a Republican.... now I am an independant. After the Bush, McKennedy amnasty.... but this is the exact reason I will not vote for a DEMOCHEAT .... GIVE ME AN HONEST INDEPENDANT TO VOTE FOR because I am not liking what I am seeing

    well, then perhaps you need to look at Ron Paul.. Youtube him.... google him, and see his site.. www.ronpaul2008.com

    alot, actually a TON of videos on him, that clearer shows his position. If you are looking for integrity and honesty, I think you will be hopeful.
