    Feds Unable to Track Immigrants Released from Custody

    WESLACO - Federal officials on Wednesday issued a statement to CHANNEL 5 NEWS saying they have no way of tracking illegal immigrants who fail to report to a deportation officer.

    Border Patrol officials have released thousands of illegal immigrants at bus stations. The immigrants are given a notice with a date to appear in immigration court.

    Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said once they approve the order of release there are no mechanisms to keep the case on record.

    This is certainly not unexpected. Something that surely government should have made perfect after the "surprise" attack of 9/11, 13 long years ago today. What will it take for Americans to realize that in few ways has American government represented America?

    If they don't show up for a hearing no one know where to look for them because they could be anywhere in the country.
