Some people just can’t cut their losses and step away from the table while they still have their underwear left. This is the case with the buffoonish leader of the Senate Democrats Chuck Schumer.
Cryin’ Chuck badly miscalculated on the #SchumerShutdown and that his party’s holding the nation hostage over hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens would be a winner.
It wasn’t and Schumer quickly folded. This earned him the wrath of the irrational progressive base that is in the streets AGAIN this weekend as well as Latino activist groups. One of which organized a protest that surrounded his personal residence in New York City last week.
The Democrat clown car could now be morphing into a hearse and DACA is what can be chiseled onto their political headstones.
Trump took a lot of flak after details were leaked that he was prepared to cut a deal on letting the Dreamers stay in exchange for restrictions on other forms of immigration as well as $25 billion for a border wall and other future needs.
It appears that like the astute businessman that he has always been, that Trump was just jerking Schumer’s chain knowing full well that the Democrats would rather slice their own throats on the steps of the U.S. Capitol than be seen as being amenable to dealing with the president.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer opposes the immigration framework released by the White House — a potentially fatal blow for the prospective legislation in the closely divided Senate.
The New York Democrat on Friday accused President Donald Trump of using a proposed path for citizenship for young undocumented immigrants as cover for making sweeping — and damaging — changes to the legal immigration system.
“This plan flies in the face of what most Americans believe,” Schumer said on Twitter. While Trump “finally acknowledged that the Dreamers should be allowed to stay here and become citizens, he uses them as a tool to tear apart our legal immigration system and adopt the wish list that anti-immigration hard-liners have advocated for for years.”
The one-page proposal released by the White House on Thursday would allow as many as 1.8 million young immigrants to become citizens, while also calling for $25 billion in spending on a border wall and security as well as sharply restricting family-based immigration and eliminating a visa lottery system. White House officials are hoping the Senate will put it up for a vote, but it appears doomed to fail.

Schumer has now made it clear that it’s all or nothing on illegal aliens and in doing so has painted himself and his lunatic fringe party into yet another corner.
You could probably call this a Mexican standoff at this point thanks to Chuck and Nancy who are prepared to burn the Democrat hacienda to the ground with them inside of it.
