South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham has shredded Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Joe Biden administration’s leading doctor handling the coronavirus issue.

For all the talk of wearing masks and getting vaccinated and social distancing, Dr. Fauci has not said a word about the crisis of maskless, unvaccinated migrants at the Southern border, The Daily Mail reported.

“Paging Dr. Fauci: You need to go to the southern border and witness in person the biggest super spreader event in the nation – President @JoeBiden’s immigration policies,” he said in a tweet.

“Thousands of migrants from Central America are coming into the country with a 10% COVID-positive rate. They have 900 people staying in a room built for 80 – overcrowded by more 1,000%!

“Migrants in these facilities are intermingled and on top of each other. After being around COVID-positives, they are dumped off in Texas and taken to other parts of the country furthering the spread.

“Dr. Fauci, does COVID-science justify President Biden’s handling of migrants from Central America?

“If you are worried about the spread of COVID, you should be gravely concerned about what is happening at our southern border. There is no end in sight on this super-spreader event until these policies are changed,” the senator said.

Fauci has not spoken out about the crisis at the border, despite strongly critiquing Republican governors who have lifted restrictions in Texas and Mississippi.

Graham is just one among a number of politicians – both Republican and Democrat – who have expressed concerns that overcrowded migrant detention facilities could be fueling the spread of the coronavirus,
More than 170,000 migrants were apprehended at the southern border in March – the highest number in 15 years.

That is also significantly up from the 100,000 taken into custody in February.

As Dr. Fauci is supposed to be a non-partisan doctor concerned with helping the citizens of the United States, he has shown his political side in the past.

During the administration of Donald Trump when Dr. Fauci was asked about the potential for Black Lives Matter protests to be super spreader events he would not condemn them.

He was too busy condemning small gatherings of families and friends to be concerned with tens of thousands of people gathering and marching together.

The doctor appeared before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis in August when Rep. Jim Jordan questioned him on the protests.

“Should government limit the protesting?” Jordan said.

“I don’t think that’s relevant,” he said. “I’m not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way.”

“You make all kinds of recommendations,” Jordan said. “Is there a world where the Constitution says you can favor one First Amendment liberty, protesting, over another, practicing your faith?”

“I’m not favoring anybody over anybody,” the doctor said. “I’m just making a statement that’s a broad statement, that avoid crowds of any type, no matter where you are, because that leads to the acquisition and transmission. And I don’t judge one crowd versus another crowd. When you’re in a crowd, particularly if you’re not wearing a mask, that induces the spread.”

“I haven’t seen people during a church service go out and harm police officers or burn buildings, but we know that for 63 days, nine weeks, it’s been happening in Portland,” the representative said.

There’s “no limit to protests,” Jordan said, but “you can’t go to church on Sunday.”

“I don’t know how many times I can answer that,” Fauci said. “I’m not going to opine on limiting anything.”

He has opined on limiting everything from work to church but on this he will not opine. It appears that everything he says, or does not say, favors Democrats.
