Exactly what I have been saying for years. They ALL have a pathway to citizenship already. Go back home and come here legally just like so many other have done for years.

I agree, but the problem is many of them don't have what it takes, they don't have the drive or commitment required, they want citizenship for free like a Christmas present.

When I met him, Isadore had three jobs. He worked at Fed Ex as a part-time driver, at an art museum as a security guard, and as a car salesman. In time, I actually helped him get a job at our local newspaper…He had and kept four jobs at one time.

And I bet there were some US citizens that even then would have taken those jobs. This country is going too far out of its way to welcome immigrants---even legal ones.

I came here legally as well as did my family. It is us who came here legally and went through hell at times to do so legally that often times are most angry about the illegals.
There is one thing people fail to realize about illegals. When they have a chance to be here legally as in the case of women who are married to U.S. citizens and are in the process of getting their greencard. They will call police when they are beaten but they are entitled to get a 2 year temporary visa and during that time can apply for their greencard. If they have an anchor baby they are told that they are better off to remain here illegally. Unless they change immigration law allowing the anchor baby benefits then it is not worth their time. If you are going the process you cannot be on social assistance and have to be able to support yourself. Many illegals also have criminal records either here, back home, or both. That is also a disqualifier as the immigration law is at this time.

Illegal aliens (mostly Hispanic and mostly from Mexico) believe that they are "special" and the law doesnt appply to them. LaRaza, LULAC, and other pro-illegal groups dont give a rats behind about immigration laws. They want the benefits of living "the American Dream" but could care less about becoming an American citizen. Our country needs to get serious and enforce our immigration laws.

Isn't that the truth. I hear 15-17 year old illegal kids talking about driving. No driver's license, no insurance and no inspection sticker on the car. They think it is macho to drag race, and run lights. The adult illegals are no better. They didn't have any laws in Mexico and they believe they don't have to follow the laws here.

That is what many of them are arrested for in Collier County. No valid driver's license tops the list and at times during those traffic stops they try using fake ID and they even find illegal drugs on them. Here is one from yesterday.

I used to go to East Naples to buy plants for my business. The first time I got lost, turned down the wrong road and no one could give me directions as they did not speak English. When found the nursery and looked around, no one working understood that I wanted to talk to the boss (who luckily was an American.) East Naples is also a high crime area, with prostitution and drug dealing -- don't want to go there after dark. Come to think of it, there is no place in this country I would feel confident to go after dark.
All I can ask is "why?"

It is becoming unsafe in the daytime as well in some areas.
