SULLIVAN CITY, Texas -
Anonymous calls helped U.S. Border Patrol agents arrest nearly 90 illegal immigrants who were found in three different stash houses over the weekend.

Concerned citizens alerted the Border Patrol to an abandoned house in Sullivan City, which is 20 miles west of McAllen.

Agents responded to the location and noticed the front door was wide open. They approached the house and saw several people inside. Agents questioned the group and determined they were illegal immigrants.

A second stash house was shut down and more than 30 illegal immigrants were arrested under similar circumstances, a Border Patrol press release stated.

The Border Patrol stated agents received another anonymous call about illegal immigrants at an abandoned house, and saw several people through a window.

A third stash house was discovered near the Rio Grande Saturday. Agents followed fresh footprints to a house and found 30 illegal immigrants hiding inside a vehicle and the house, the release stated.

A Border Patrol release stated the illegal immigrants will be processed for return to their countries of origin.
