Morgan City CBP Officers Apprehend Alabama Fugitive
(Thursday, March 11, 2010)
Morgan City, La. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers from the Morgan City Port of Entry recently apprehended a 39-year-old male fugitive with an outstanding felony warrant out of Orange Beach, Alabama for two counts of theft and one count of resisting arrest.
The subject arrived into Port Fourchon, La., aboard a vessel that was working in the U.S. Gulf. CBP officers identified the man during pre-arrival computer checks of law enforcement databases. Once the warrant and extradition were confirmed, CBP and Port Fourchon Harbor Police officers boarded the vessel and after positively identifying the subject, took the individual into custody. Robert S. White was turned over to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and is waiting extradition to Alabama.
