Did no-Muslims comments trip Trump...or touch a nerve?

An immigration enforcement activist says a "pause" in legal immigration into the United States is a good idea, echoing comments from a GOP candidate.

Do you agree with Donald Trump's suggestion to temporarily stop Muslim immigration into the U.S.?

Yes, I'm glad Trump is speaking outYes, but I don't support TrumpNo, I disagree with that suggestionNo, but need to improve screening processI'm not sure

That idea came from presidential candidate Donald Trump, who said Tuesday that the United States should halt immigration of Muslims following the Dec. 2 massacre in San Bernardino, California.
The suggestion created a firestorm of controversy, but William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration says he agrees with the idea.
"It makes sense that we limit or restrict or pause immigration from predominately Muslim nations," Gheen tells OneNewsNow. "Their ideology is hostile to Americans and America."
Trump suggested a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States "until our country's representatives can figure out what's going on."
Trump is the current GOP front-runner for the Republican nomination and his suggestion predictably created a firestorm of controversy.
Some Republicans condemned the remark, including House Speaker Paul Ryan.
"What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for," Ryan said, "and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for."
"I have no idea what Mr. Trump knows about either immigration law or Islam," Andrew C. McCarthy wrote at National Review Online. "But it should be obvious to any objective person that Muslim immigration to the West is a vexing challenge."
McCarthy went on to suggest that Islam is "no mere religion," but rather one where there is no division between "mosque and state."
Gheen shares a similar view with OneNewsNow.
"In America, we have separation of church and state and they do not have that in Islamic nations," he says. "So we have a real compatibility problem that is resulting in this violence."
Trump defended his statement saying that what he's proposing is "no different" than President Franklin Roosevelt putting Japanese-Americans in internment camps during World War II.
After Trump's remarks, conservative website Gateway Pundit pointed out that President Jimmy Carter kicked out some Iranian students during the Iran hostage crisis, citing a story at Frontpage Magazine.
Would an immigration crackdown be legal and constitutional? Yes, it would be, says Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies.
"Whether it's a good idea is a different point," Krikorian told radio talk show host Sandy Rios in a Wednesday interview. "But whether it's unconstitutional is simply an absurd question, because this is about foreigners seeking admission into the United States and Congress has power, complete authority, to pass legislation allowing in or keeping out anybody they want."
Gheen says what Trump is proposing is not much different than the recent amendment put forth by Sen. Rand Paul to "pause" visa issuance to more than 30 countries that are at risk for exporting terrorists into America.

The Republicans who "condemned" Trump's remarks are globalists displaying juvenile hysteria instead of the prudent correct responses of support to protect the United States and the American People from Islamic Radical Terrorism, which does not just originate or exist in Muslim nations, it exists wherever Muslims are.

Of course that doesn't mean that every Muslim will commit a terrorist act, it means there is no way to look into the soul of a person who holds an Islamic political ideology in advance of entry. You can ask them, you can research their activities, but there's no guarantee there will be a data record of their intentions or that they will confess to their true beliefs on a visa application.

This dilemma is not our problem or one we want to deal with, so the only proper solution is to prevent Muslim migration to the United States, not to prevent the religion which would be fine if that's what we were after, but the political ideology established by the religion, and we'll find some way to deal with the ones who are already here including the radicalism of our own citizens, whether Muslim or something else.

Honestly, what American really wants to import women who cover their heads and faces, wear long black clothing and refuse to converse with men? The whole notion of importing Muslims from other countries is ridiculous. Let them go see Merkel. She'll set 'em up for life.

We have to stop pretending that Islam is merely a religion—it is primarily a totalitarian ideology that aims to conquer the West. A free society should not grant freedom to those who want to destroy it. Every mosque, every Islamic school, and every burka is regarded by Islam as a step toward the ultimate goal of our submission. As such, we must close down all Islamic schools, for they are totalitarian institutions where young children are indoctrinated into an ideology of violence and hatred. We must also close down all radical mosques and forbid the construction of new mosques, which Islam regards as symbols of its triumph. And we must ban the burka—people's faces should not be hidden in society, for it is our faces that give us our identity and our fundamental means of communication with others.

muslims and all that emigrate to America are required to "assimilate" to American ways - not the other way around.

Islam means “submission.” If you are not willing to submit to Islam or Islamic rule then Islam is your mortal enemy, always has been and always will be.

Islam cannot be reconciled with our way of life. Islamic culture is incompatible with all of the best aspects of European civilization.
No form of Islam as it exists today belongs in any Western country.

We are currently mass importing this conflict of hatred and violent ideology to all of our major cities, a process which is already well underway. It is criminal negligence on the part of our so-called leaders to continue this madness and conduct a dangerous Multicultural experiment with hundreds of millions of people as guinea pigs.
    This needs to end. Now.

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
    Samuel Adams

If WE people want to see what percentage of Muslims really approve of Sharia law or follow radical Islam please see a video by typing the Clarion Project; to have a better understanding of how dangerous it is for all of us to accept radical Muslims in our country. Trump is right and I fully support him and will vote for him. This latest attack in California is just a start of terrorism in this country but unfortunately our worthless "career" politicians do not care about 'our safety' since they ( politicians can afford round the clock armed security).
Please type in The Clarion Project "By the Numbers- the Untold Story of Muslims Opinions & Demographics- this video is narrated by a Sunni Muslim woman who is against Radical Islam and will actually list the percentage of Muslims who are for Sharia Law and their radical beliefs.

Trump is right in what he said.

We are faced with a clash of civilizations. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear can recognize it. To paraphrase Trotsky, we may not be interested in war, but war seems to be interested in us.
