Eight accused of reentering the country after being deported; one accused of identify theft.

Nine foreign nationals, some found in Cape Fear region counties, have been indicted by a federal grand jury, the U.S. Attorney Office in Raleigh said on Wednesday.

According to a news release, eight defendants are charged with illegal entry of a deported alien. They are:

• Jose Raudilio Acosta-Hernandez, 28, of Honduras, found in Robeson County.

• Mario Santana, 29, of Mexico, found in Sampson County.

• Jose Carmen Soto, 44, of Mexico, found in Harnett County.

• Saul Cisneros-Franco, 52, of Mexico, found in Wilson County, and also alleged to have been previously deported subsequent to aggravated felony convictions.

• Agripino Crisostomo-Lopez, 38, of Guatemala, found in Pitt County.

• Jorge Gomez-Perez, 48, of Mexico, found in Pender County.

• Jose Quinvero, 36, of El Salvador, found in Wake County.

• Victoriano Valenzuela-Rojas, found in Duplin County.

The ninth defendant, Maria Asuncion Lucas-Mendez, 31, of Guatemala, is charged with false representation of a Social Security account number and aggravated identity theft. Lucas-Mendez was found in Wayne County.
