Donald Trump: ‘DACA Is Probably Dead’

President Donald Trump expressed his skepticism that a DACA deal could be reached with Democrats.

“DACA is probably dead because the Democrats don’t really want it,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
He suggested that Democrats were preparing a government shutdown over the issue after they leaked details of a private conversation with them to the media.


“They just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our Military,” Trump wrote.
On Saturday, he said it was “too bad” that Democrats were not serious about reaching a DACA deal.


“I don’t believe the Democrats really want to see a deal on DACA,” he said. “They are all talk and no action. This is the time but, day by day, they are blowing the one great opportunity they have. Too bad!”

Trump urged a return to a merit-based system of immigration.


“I, as President, want people coming into our Country who are going to help us become strong and great again, people coming in through a system based on MERIT,” he wrote. “No more Lotteries! AMERICA FIRST.”

Americans don't want a DACA deal, they're already sick to death of the subject. They're tired of hearing about it, looking at people who aren't even supposed to be in our country protesting in our streets, stealing jobs, robbing seats in college, using welfare, breeding, making demands, invading our Capitol, spoiling events. They've burned their own bridge as far as I'm concerned. It's in the courts now, let them handle it, hopefully they'll determine it an illegal program beyond the scope of a President to establish and approve the end of it by a President who protects our rule of law, equal protection under those laws, and our Constitution.

We are particularly ill with watching politicians more concerned with the welfare of illegal aliens at the expense of Americans than the US citizens they're elected, paid and sworn to protect.

President Trump: DACA Deal “Probably Dead” – Democrats Link Amnesty To Budget…

Congressional Democrats have staked out a position of shutting down the government if they do not get a DACA amnesty deal.


Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was the Obama “executive action” that deferred deportation of illegal aliens placing them in a suspended status awaiting immigration legislation. DACA applied to ‘childhood arrivals‘.


DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans) applied to their parents and families. DAPA was determined by Federal Courts, including SCOTUS, to be unconstitutional.


A court challenge on DACA would likely find the same legal outcome as DAPA. Unable to defend DACA in court, President Trump gave congress six months to negotiate legislation to address the underlying issue prior to enforcement of existing law (deportation). The Democrat “fix” is to grant immigration amnesty to the DACA recipients.
