Nope, I think it was his handlers that said, "oops you goofed." So, Trump immediately set out to twist what he originally said to lessen the negative impact of his comment. This isn't the first time that has happened and it won't be the last.

Trump hasn't mentioned E-Verify since the interview, so he's not changed or "twisted" anything he said during the interview. I realize you think he's a boob and is "handled". I know you think he does what people tell him to do. I know you think he's an idiot and incompetent. And you're free to think that or anything else you want to think.
