2016 Presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump met Friday afternoon with family members of Americans killed by illegal aliens in the wake of a multiple deportee felon confessing to shooting and killing young Kate Steinle in San Francisco, California.

Trump has come under fire in the mainstream media over comments made since the announcement of his candidacy. He has since risen to number one in polls of the Republican field for President.

Sabine Durden lost her son Dominic Durden to the actions of an illegal alien three years ago come Sunday. After participating in Friday’s meeting with Trump she spoke exclusively with Breitbart News sharing her experience inside the meeting:

Mister Trump met with the families in a separate room. He listened to each one of our stories and was visibly shaken and touched. We got hugged and he promised to continue to fight for us and our kids. We then went to a separate room where the press was staged. He addressed them and then gave each of us time to share our story. The press tried to pin him down on his previous comments. He stood his ground. I had a coke bottle that read HERO on it and I told him that he should have it. He is my hero because he was the only one who got attention to this truly important issue.

It was such a pleasure and true honor to meet this man. A legend and someone to bring America back.

Leading up to the meeting Durden was extremely excited. Afterwards she also remarked of Trump’s patient listening ear saying it energized her to continue sharing her story and the important message of the need for border and immigration law enforcement
    .

The families of Jamiel Shaw Jr., Sabine Durden, Don Rosenberg, Lupe Moreno, and Brenda Sparks, all who have lost loved ones, were included in Friday’s meeting.

Breitbart News reported not only Friday on the families included in the meeting and brief portions of their stories, but also at an event last November, the National Day of Remembrance for Americans killed by illegal aliens. Many of the families have had to fight fiercely to see their loved ones’ killers brought to justice or even just deported. Others have watched their loved ones’ killers go free.

Trump will address attendees at Freedom Fest in Las Vegas, Nevada and later at a stadium venue in Phoenix, Arizona.

Durden also recently penned separate, open letters to both President Barack Obama and Donald Trump. The letters came in stark contrast to one another as the letter to Obama expressed Durden’s grievance over the president inviting a known illegal alien to an LGBT event at the White House who then heckled the President about deportation.

Durden questioned when Obama would acknowledge her and others who have lost loved ones to the actions of foreign nationals illegally present in the United States and “WHEN do legal citizens that have been affected by this immigration issue, get a chance to share their side of the story with you?” (original emphasis). The letter is included in an exclusive Breitbart News report.

The Trump letter is included below:

I surely understand the remark made about talking about an alien immigrant killing a family member being politically incorrect. That is exactly what Presidents, Congresspersons, newspaper editors and hundreds if not thousands of Americans have laid on me for 25 years. It is not politically correct to hear white Americans with complaints about government in America.

Can Trump make a huge difference in America, for America and for Americans? It took us decades to dig the hole we sit in. Is it real to expect that it will be corrected totally in 4 - 8 years? That would likely be too hopeful.

But, if enough Americans voted for him and cleaned out the republicans and democrats that have caused this mess, replacing them with real Americans instead of career lifetime politicians, a very significant positive change would be probable. At least it seems to be the best chance I have seen for achieving it in 35 years.

kevinssdad our government has always cared more about political correctness than American citizens. In the 70's we lived in Okinawa my husband was assigned to USCAR, which basically was the U.S. Government over Okinawa. My son was kidnapped and when I couldn't reach my husband I called the emergency number I had. They sent M.P's and Okinawa Police, but when I kept asking for my husband, I kept getting the run around. Finally I was told that they had sent my husband on an assignment off island to keep him from knowing what was going on. I was told straight out that the most important thing was to keep Bobby's kidnapping from becoming an International Incident.

I can't even tell you how fast the government worked to hide everything. It never hit the news. There was no trial. The sicko after being arrested just simply vanished off the face of the earth. My husband was not returned or told what happened until after the government was done with their cleanup.

MontereySherry, so sorry to learn about your suffering and about the disgraceful treatment of you and your husband - and the apparent cowardice of the authorities in Okinawa.

I don't know when we began to lose faith in what I regard as the greatest country in human history. Perhaps Americans can regain their regard for this magnificent country by working to reserve our resources for our own people.

Oh that is so awful. How could our government do such a thing to your family? Was your son rescued?

I suspect a lot of that lost faith has come from the remake of our population due to our crazy immigration policies that have allowed tens of millions of immigrants (legal and illegal) in over the last several decades! Many of these 'new' immigrants don't really seem interested in assimilating, which means they are keeping their own traditions, cultures, and beliefs while disparaging a culture that took centuries to build. Is there such a thing as American tradition anymore? Oh, and of course pandering politicians are compounding the problem.
