Trump Tweet: Ready to make a deal!

President Trump blasted out a message on Twitter Monday afternoon, reminding Democrats that today is the deadline for DACA, and no deal is on the table.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which was enacted by former President Barack Obama in 2012, was revoked by President Trump in September 2017. Trump gave Congress until March 5 to come up with a legislative “fix” for the illegal aliens who were brought to the United States by their parents when they were children.

Two federal judges have blocked Trump’s order, stating that the federal government must continue processing DACA applications until Congress does take action, but the program is now left in limbo.

President Trump had offered to give amnesty to 1.8 million illegal alien youths, in exchange for funding for a border wall and other border security measures, but Democrats have not accepted the deal.

Monday, the president tweeted:
It’s March 5th and the Democrats are nowhere to be found on DACA. Gave them 6 months, they just don’t care. Where are they? We are ready to make a deal!
