U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services clarifies question on application for deferred action

    NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

    FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2012, 4:00 AM

Good news for deferred action applicants: If you used a false social security card, you need not reveal the number on your deferred action application forms. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has clarified that when the forms ask for an applicant’s social security number, it refers to social security numbers issued to the applicant. If you used a friend’s number, a made-up number or a stolen number, you should answer N/A for “not applicable” where it asks for the number.
Some applicants for what the USCIS calls Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, have been holding back from applying for fear that revealing use of a false number might cause them problems later. Those individuals should apply. To qualify for DACA, you must have entered the United States prior to age 16, not yet reached the age of 31 on June 15 and have resided continuously here since June 15, 2007. Also, you must be in school, graduated from high school or hold a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Am I eligible for a Social Security number?

    • If the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) grants you Deferred Action status and
employment authorization, you may be eligible for a Social Security number.

    • After you receive your Employment Authorization Card (I-766) from USCIS, you can apply for a Social

Why not just give them the world on a silver platter? We're giving them everything else.
